This well known Kitemark symbol shows that NOVA double glazed units meet the BSI’s requirements for Quality and Performance. They regularly undergo independent stringent tests for weathering, and have enabled NOVA to confidently offer a full 10 year guarantee on units installed in PVCu windows or doors.
BS 7412
Nova PVCu Windows carry this Kitemark. It ensures all components meet defined requirements for corrosion resistance, strength, security and safety. Settanta and Belvedere windows have, and regularly do, undergo severe air, water and wind performance testing as part of the Kitemark requirements. You can be extra confident that whatever the weather throws at your windows, Settanta and Belvedere will be more than a match.
BS EN 12150-2
Toughened safety glass in windows and doors is becoming more important for meeting UK building regulations. Nova’s very own state of the art Tamglass toughening furness allows production of our own quality toughened safety glass for use in building. This Kitemark represents our commitment to quality by meeting the strict requirements of the BS EN 12150-2 standard. Regular testing is carried out during daily operations and also external testing at BSI is carried out at regular intervals to ensure only the highest quality glass is produced.
BS 7950/7412
In these security conscious times, this Kitemark represents a significant step forward in the window industry. It provides a benchmark for window security. NOVA Settanta and Belvedere windows carry this Kitemark and have been rigorously tested both manually and mechanically for resistance to break-in. Regular samples are selected and tested at BSI to ensure they meet this exacting standard. NOVA have a purpose built security test rig, and through constant development we are able to pride ourselves on being one step ahead of the competition. That is why NOVA were one of the first companies to be awarded the BS 7950/7412 Kitemark and are well respected for window security.
