Global600 Roof Features

35mm Poly Sheets

As well as taking glass units the global 600 roof can also be glazed with polycarbonate depths of 16mm, 25mm and the new 35mm polycarbonate option.

This option is achieved, not by cutting the top cap but by increasing the height of the aluminium glazing bars by 10mm so the external aesthetics of the conservatory are not compromised.

600mm Panels

Traditionally other low pitch roofs have standardised panel widths at 500mm. just for easy calculations. The benefits of 600mm are simple. As we know many peoples try to design conservatories so that the mullions align with the glazing bars. Yet 500mm mullions do not looks very pleasing to the eye.

Low hright Eaves Beam

A low height eaves beam measuring only 83mm has been included to not only provide a consistent and perfect finish but also help reduce the overall finished height of the structure. Inside this simple eaves structure is clipped a specific global 600 cladding and on the outside boasts the same sculptured gutter system seen on the global roof system. The ends of this eaves beam are finished with a simple end cap leaving no holes left to fill unlike other roof systems that fit to the head of the window frame of onto the bay poles.

Glazing Bars

The global 600 roof benefits from internal fixing. Each glazing member is simply dropped into position and secured with a single M8 13mm nut at each end, locked from within the structure. These structural aluminium sections are then cloaked with sculptured PVCu cappings incorporating concealed gaskets.

Glazing Panel Drips Closures

At the end of glazing panel is a special extruded deep drip end closure. Due to the low pitch nature of global 600 the end closed features a deep drip design. This makes sure that the capillary action stops the water tracking back up the sheet. This enclosure has been design specifically for the global 600 roof and mirrors the sculptured shape of the glazing bar.

Starter Bar

The Global 600 sees the introduction of a much wider traditional starter bar. This guarantees a consistent finished to the inside by retailed the sightline of 50% of a normal glazing to the inside of the side wall. The aesthetics benefits created by this innovation do not end there. By moving the glazing centre of the starter bar a g600 conservatory can be glazed with complete 600mm roof panels without site trimming and keeping frame centres inline with the roof bars.

Wallplate

Global 600 can achieve pitches as low as 2.5° using 35mm polycarbonate sheets.

A specific wall plate. An custom design wallplate is a further indication to the commitment made to this new system. The wall plate is offered up to the wall and fixed along the pre marked line. For added strength the fixed then passes through a channel on the house site of the wall plate and securely into the brickwork.

The glazing panels fit directly into the PVCu rain excluder. A component, which like the global roof system benefits from triple gasket seals into the aluminium section. Screw ports at the end of wall plate make fixing of the end caps quick and easy.
