New Settanta has raised the bar again. In addition to improved environmental and security performance, New Settanta now achieves an ‘A’ rating for extrusion quality. Classification of wall thickness is Class A in accordance with EN12608.
Settanta windows and doors are manufactured using lead free profiles. This is in conjunction with the P.V.C. industries voluntary commitment to the E.U. Environment Commission (The vinyl 2010 voluntary charter) to help eliminate 50% of the use of lead by 2010 and 100% by 2015. Calcium-zinc completely replaces the use of lead as a stabiliser during the extrusion process.
The raw materials that are used to produce Settanta windows are carefully selected to ensure any risk to humans or the environment – whether perceived or actual – is kept to an absolute minimum.
Settanta windows are amongst the first PVC windows to become lead-free, with the use of lead additives phased out as a precautionary measure and replaced with calcium organic stabilisers. It is steps like this that ensure the health of the people that manufacture and use Settanta windows can be assured of total safety.
